$SAHARA is the native utility token that powers all core functions within the Sahara ecosystem, enabling access and coordination across a decentralized AI economy.
Key utilities of $SAHARA include:
Access or license datasets essential for training AI models;
Acquire rights to use existing models;
Secure computational resources necessary for model development, deployment and inference;
Make per-inference payments, allowing for granular usage-based pricing of AI services.
This utility-driven model allows value to flow fairly and transparently between all contributors and users in the Sahara AI ecosystem, such as data providers, model developers, compute providers, and end users.

The claim window will remain open for 15-months from the Token Generation Event (TGE).
Unclaimed tokens after the 15-month claim window will be returned to the Sahara protocol treasury and may be redistributed via governance decisions.
You must claim your tokens before the window closes or you will lose your allocation.
Eligible wallets include users who:
Participated in Data Services Platform (DSP) tasks and earned Sahara Points.
Joined the Sahara Legends campaign and earned Shards.
Ecosystem builders and enterprise partners that played a pivotal role in shaping the foundational layers of the Sahara AI ecosystem.
Eligibility is based on snapshot(s) taken on May 31, 2025 23:59 UTC
Each category has two types of allocations:
Unlocked at TGE: Available immediately for claim
Vested: 6-month cliff, followed by 6-month linear unlock

The $SAHARA token claim will take place exclusively on BNB Smart Chain.
While Sahara AI's own mainnet is still in development, we're launching on BNB Smart Chain first to ensure a smooth, low-cost claiming experience for the community. BNB Smart Chain offers significantly lower gas fees compared to other chains, making it more accessible for users across different regions and wallet types.
You’ll need to pay two types of fees when claiming: a standard gas fee in BNB (based on network congestion), and an additional service fee based on the amount you claim.
The service fee is deducted in BNB and shown together with the gas fee in the transaction popup. The fee structure is as follows:
$0.05 for claims between $1–$5
$0.10 for claims between $5–$50
$0.50 for claims between $50–$100
$1.00 for claims between $100–$500
$2.00 for claims between $500–$1000
$5.00 for claims over $1000
For example, if you’re claiming $30, a $0.10 service fee in BNB will be charged. All fees will be clearly shown before you confirm your claim.
Community allocations were determined through the $SAHARA Knowledge Drop, which allocated 5.0% of the total token supply (450,000,000 tokens) to early contributors who meaningfully participated in Sahara's development.
Three main categories were rewarded:
Data Services Platform (DSP) Users - 405M tokens for users who participated in data tasks and earned Sahara Points during the Prometheus Program.
Sahara Legends Participants - 45M tokens for users who completed gamified missions and earned Shards in the community engagement campaign.
Ecosystem Builders and Enterprise Partners - 50M tokens for technical contributors, builders, and enterprise partners who shaped Sahara's foundational infrastructure and drove real-world adoption.
Fair Distribution Methods:
Allocations based on verified contributions (Sahara Points and Shards)
Sybil resistance measures to prioritize genuine human participation
Activity multipliers for engaged Web3 wallets
